also I am confused if 2 spatial stream is only possible in 2TX or more TX design. Not in the 1X1 design meaning to have more than 1 spatial stream we need to have more than 1 Tx chain??

Right now its a limitation on the silicon implementations. AP vendors are limited by what the chipset designs allow. There are vendors claiming 4×4 capabilities in their chipsets today but in reality those are two 2×2 chipsets set side by side within the silicon.

In 3×3 mode, why not three spacial streams used?. Any constraint prevents the vendors from using third spacial stream?
